Robert Redford's image has become intrinsically tied to his role as a motorcycle racer in the 1970 feature film Little Fauss and Big Halsy. Though the film didn’t end up being the most successful film of the actor’s career, the sight of the actor on a motorcycle became burned into the minds of the audience. Robert has since maintained his status as one of the coolest guys in Hollywood, whether on a bike or off.

If Robert Redford looked cool on his motorcycle, Paul Newman looked even cooler while driving his racecar. During the 1970s, Paul Newman began racing cars in an official capacity. However, the actor used an alias while driving so that his celebrity status didn’t distract from his innate technical abilities as a racecar driver.

Finally, Bruce Lee is considered by many to be the star that made martial arts popular in America. The actor burst onto the scene with various martial arts films, including The Way of the Dragon, which he wrote and directed. The Way of the Dragon also featured a memorable early performance from Chuck Norris as one of the film’s villains.

Sadly, Bruce Lee could only be seen in a handful of features before his untimely death in his early 30s. At the time of his death, the actor was ironically filming a feature by the name of The Game of Death. Other cool leading men we’ll be taking a look at in this video include John Travolta, Gene Hackman, Steve McQueen, and Sydney Poitier.
