A huge pet python was seen hanging from a tree while swallowing fresh meat in Mexico.
Gruesome footage shows the 10ft-long snake coiled around the branches while clutching a chicken between its strong jaws in Yucatan on December 15.
Resident Osvaldo Efrain Alvares Hernandez said the serpent was a pet owned by his friend. He takes it outside to give it a taste of its natural environment.
He said: They had a feeding routine. The snake loved to climb up the tree while enjoying his meal just like an animal in the wild.'
Pythons are constrictor snakes, biting their prey and wrapping them around their powerful body. It then consumes the meal whole.
