SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. A roaring suspect drew laughs, not citations, after police encountered a person in a Tyrannosaurus rex costume jaywalking through town.
In a lighthearted video shared by the Sandy Springs Police Department, an officer is seen playfully interacting with the costumed dinosaur, who had been roaring without a permit.
The department joked the prehistoric pedestrian was dino-sorely mistaken if they thought they could outrun local law enforcement.
No actual laws were broken, and the department reminded the public that a little humor goes a long way in building community spirit.
