A professional mould remover has gone viral on TikTok after revealing the extent of a horrifying mould infestation in a womans house.
Ted V, 34, and the Tru Organic Restoration team, were called out to the property after the woman became unwell.
The homeowner was stumped as her walls only showed a mild mould issue but as the team investigated, they found the shocking extent lurking behind the walls.
An air test on the home came back with very high levels of chaetomium and stachybotrys black mould despite the mild visible signs.
The team started demolishing the master bedroom and bathroom walls and sound uncovered a massive load of heavy black mould.
Ted shared a video on TikTok which has garnered 5.9 million views and 300,000 likes, explaining the woman had suffered constant headaches, muscle aches, congestion, fatigue and allergies all as a result of the mould.
Her young children were also suffering the same symptoms, while her husband was healthy.
I was called to this ladys home for a mould inspection because she noticed that there were some small spots in her bedroom and bathroom around the walls and ceilings, Ted, from Houston, Texas, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
Once we started the demolition of the master bedroom and bathroom, it became clear that this was going to be a massive project.
All of the walls contained heavy black mould.
As we began to deconstruct her bathroom, there was so much mould that under the sink that we were shocked!
We needed to gut the entire bedroom and bathroom due to how extensive the mould damages were.
It turns out that the bedroom and bathroom were recent extensions to the home, and whoever built the structure did a poor job with designing and executing the project.
The space had poor ventilation, and was very humid.
There were multiple leaks in the bathroom, and materials were installed incorrectly.
Whoever owned the home prior used a shoddy contractor to build the bedroom and bathroom thats how this all started.
They had bought the home five years prior, and unknowingly lived with it for that long.
In the TikTok, the extent of the black mould can be seen as the team peel back the walls to reveal thick layers of it.
Users were horrified by the shocking revelation.

The homeowner was equally stunned to learn how bad the mould issue was.
Ted said: When we presented the findings to the customer, she was in immediate tears.
She was very emotional because her children have been exposed to the mould for nearly five years.
In the end we got it all cleaned up for the customer, and they were extremely grateful and happy.
This is a valuable lesson to many if you see a little bit of mould growing in your home, you should always be concerned.
You never know the true extent of the issue.
You need to act quickly to mitigate the problem before it gets worse.
