Evidently, it was love at first sight. When Katherine Hepburn was first introduced to Spencer Tracy on the set of the 1942 film “Woman of the Year”, she couldn’t help but fall madly in love with him almost instantaneously. Hepburn naturally was familiar with Spencer’s film work and no doubt had a great deal of respect for him on a professional level, but her infatuation went far beyond that. There was just something so alluring about the “Inherit The Wind” actor that she couldn’t quite put her finger on.
