Elizabeth Taylor was born in London, England in 1932 to American parents who were art dealers. She moved to Los Angeles, USA with her family when she was seven years old, and soon began her acting career as a child star. She rose to fame with films like National Velvet, A Place in the Sun, Giant, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Cleopatra. She won two Oscars for her roles in Butterfield 8 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
While best known for her acting career, Taylor was also famous for her beauty, her violet eyes, her jewelry collection, and her eight marriages to seven men.
