At this point, it shouldn't even have to be sad. Drugs and alcohol should never mix. Unfortunately, this would be a life lesson that the subject of this video had to learn the hard way.
Sadly, on May 1st, 2003, the world of pro wrestling lost one of its most beloved stars. Miss Elizabeth was just 42 years old when she passed away as a result of an acute toxic drug and alcohol interaction in the townhouse that she shared with her live-in boyfriend Lex Luger, in Marietta, Georgia.

The circumstances under which she died were nothing short of tragic, and the wrestling community was left reeling from the unexpected news.
Women's wrestling wouldn't be where it is today without the many contributions of Miss Elizabeth. Even though she was not an athlete who could tough it out with the likes of Trish Stratus, Sasha Banks, or Alundra Blayze, she is still considered one of the greatest valets of all time.

Miss Elizabeth brought a sense of grace, elegance, and sophistication into the ring. At the end of the day, she was much too kind and beautiful for the oftentimes rough and ugly world of pro-wrestling. She rose to international fame between the years of 1985 and 1992 with the World Wrestling Federation. She then spent a four-year stint with World Championship Wrestling managing the wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage in addition to a handful of other wrestlers popular around that time.

It's impossible to tell what would have become of her life and career if she hadn't passed away in such an untimely way, but at the very least, we should pause for a moment to reflect on what she managed to accomplish while she was still here with us.
