The case was settled out of court to the tune of $787.5 million. It wasn’t as much as Dominion wanted, but it sent a message and kept Fox’s secrets safe. The network fired Tucker soon after news of the settlement became public. It was sudden, shocking his colleagues and even President Trump himself.
The reason for his departure isn’t clear. It could have been his role in the defamation lawsuit, his other suit from Abby Grosberg, his controversial comments about upper management, or a combination of all of the above.
