Morganna started her career as the Kissing Bandit in 1969 but had been an entertainer for several years prior. After running away from a boarding school at the age of 13, Morganna became an exotic dancer at the Flamingo Club in Baltimore. Morganna lied about her age to get the position and didn’t even know what an exotic dancer was at the time.
Despite some reluctance during her first performance, Morganna became an incredibly successful exotic dancer by the age of 17. As she got more comfortable, she began incorporating comedy into her routine. Nowadays, Morganna considers herself more of a comedian than a sex symbol.
After starting her career as the Kissing Bandit in 1969, Morganna gained notoriety as the character. The initial public stunt led to some lucrative opportunities for the young comedian, and she made several million dollars from her time as the Kissing Bandit before retiring in 2000.
