A new tell-all book has just been released about the Church of Scientology, and it includes some pretty juicy details about many members, including mega star John Travolta. According to the book, written by former member Mike Rinder, the church has long had a practice of ‘handling’ allegations against Travolta of his alleged homosexuality. This has included utilizing media to spin stories, going after witnesses and accusers and finding dirt on them, and even using legal means to go after publications who have printed allegations. But in his book, Rinder says that these are all tactics that the church uses to protect all of its celebrities from accusations and rumors, regardless of how true they are.

Rinder was, in fact, in charge of the division tasked with this kind of PR manipulation for the church and its celebrities. So the fact that he’s revealing their tactics and history is pretty alarming. Rinder also says that he personally witnessed John Travolta kissing a male masseuse in a hotel suite. According to the book, Rinder was in the suite to help Travolta with PR issues regarding his alleged homosexuality. And while there, a masseur entered the room in a robe, and went up to Travolta and kissed him on the mouth. Travolta responded in kind, and then assured the masseur that he’d join him shortly in the bedroom.
