The Golden Age actors who starred in these films had just as powerful of an impact. They went on to become some of the most important names in the world of classic movies. Many of them are no longer with us, but some are still alive. A few Golden Age actors became names that every generation will remember forever. Angela Lansberry’s calming voice and entrancing presence kept her going for 96 years. Others such as Elizbeth Waldo only had 1 or 2 film credits to their name.

The end of the Golden Age was the best time for a few of these actors. 94-year-old Peggy Dow appeared in 4 in 1951 alone or Barbara Fuller who acted in 7 the same year. Others flourished in the early years of the Golden Age. Most were too young to act in the first talkies in the 1920s, but they did start looking for work as soon as possible. 96-year-old Marilyn Knowlden managed to find plenty of work during the Depression of the 1930s.

Regardless of when they began their careers, all of them haven’t let age keep them down. There are even a few Golden Age actors who are 100 years old or older. The youngest of that group is 100-year-old Margia Dean. The oldest is 104-year-old Marsha Hunt, another staple of cinema in the ’40s and 50s.
