Join FactsVerse as we take a revealing look at the real reason why Parkinson moved on from modeling on the groundbreaking game show. We'll also give you a little insight into what Parkinson ended up doing before her eventual retirement from the spotlight.

Parkinson was born Dianne Lynn Batts on November 30, 1944, in Jacksonsville, North Carolina. When she was four years old, her family moved to Falls Church, Virginia. After moving out of her strict parent's home, Dian began competing in beauty pageants.

In 1965, Parkinson won the Miss District of Columbia USA title. She then competed in the Miss USA 1965 pageant in which she placed fourth runner-up. Later that year she won the 1965 Miss USA World contest. From there, she went on to represent the US at the international Miss World contest and was runner-up behind Lesley Langley of the UK.

Winning those titles led to Parkinson touring with Bob Hope and appearing on his 1965 Christmas special. She then landed the role as a model on The Price Is Right in 1973. She would remain on that series until 1993 when Bob Barker announced that she would be leaving to pursue other business opportunities. Find out what those opportunities were, by watching this video.

Shockingly, when she left the program, Parkinson accused Bob Barker of sexual misconduct. While Barker denied these claims, he eventually paid her an undisclosed sum to throw out her lawsuit. Incidentally, Parkinson was not the only woman who modeled on the game show that has accused Barker of inappropriate behavior. Towards the end of this video, we'll discuss the other accusers that have accused Barker of wrongdoing.
