The viral video in question came as a result of the urban explorers craze. For those that don’t know, an urban explorer is someone who explores abandoned properties. They typically do this for the purpose of filming it and uploading the footage online. Most of the time, this footage is only of interest to other urban explorers. However, the footage claiming to show a property that had been abounded by Sylvester Stallone understandably caught the attention of film fans. Almost immediately, people began trying to determine whether or not Sylvester really abandoned the property or if it was just a big misunderstanding.

There is evidence suggesting that Sylvester Stallone really abandoned the property in question, but there is also plenty of evidence suggesting that a different owner abandoned it. Some of the biggest pieces of evidence suggesting it really is Sly’s property would be the presence of vanity license plates on various abandoned luxury cars featured on the property. These license plates feature Sylvester’s nickname of “Sly”. Others have suggested that these plates indicate the property is actually owned by Sly Stone, the now-homeless former leader of the band Sly and the Family Stone.

Other evidence suggesting the abandoned property belongs to Sylvester would be the fact that the property is in Maryland, which just so happens to be Sylvester’s home state. There’s even a brick home on the property, which resembles to home that the actor grew up in. However, it has been determined that the two homes are not the same.

Regardless of whether or not Sylvester Stallone really abandoned this Maryland property, it’s pretty common knowledge that the actor abandoned his home in Palm Springs, California, for many years. However, this was simply because he no longer wanted to live there and he didn’t want to let it go for too low of a price. Since abandoning the property, Sylvester has sold this home to Adele.
