Do you remember watching Survivor when it took place on Borneo – the very first season? Or what about the Blood versus Water season – which was the 27th season of the show? Without a doubt, Survivor is one of the best reality shows there is and is an institution in itself.

But sadly, there have been Survivor contestants who have died and this leaves us all with a hole in our hearts. When we look back at the Survivor cast members who have died, however, one must remember the incredible life and not just focus on the death – of which many were tragic.
The most recent Survivor cast member who has died was Roger Sexton who died in October of 2022. He was not only one of the most memorable veterans of the show but he was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is remembered for his hard work but also his friendly demeanor.
The same goes for Rudy Boesch who was a Navy SEAL and also had the tough discipline that one would expect. Yet Rudy was also adored for his incredible sense of humor and will be sorely missed.
Many of the Survivor cast members who have died, however, have left us too soon. Caleb Bankston, Ashley Massaro, Jenn Lyon, and Dan Kay all died before they could reach old age. They were also remembered for being friendly, hardworking, and some of the most memorable contestants on the show.
Ashley Massaro had another career that she was known for before joining Survivor. As did Cliff Robinson who we sadly lost in 2020. The Survivor cast members who have died have certainly lived rich lives and we can all learn a thing or two from them.
