His work to unite the city after 9/11 made him a sure shot for mayor. It even seemed like he could win the presidential race. He was devastated when that didn’t happen. It wasn’t the end, but it was a new beginning, for better or worse. Rudy stayed close to power as Donald Trump’s lawyer. That meant staying close to scandal as well.
