In Hollywood, not everything you see is as it seems. When you thumb through the gossip rags or watch something like TMZ or E!, you're presented with a very different look at Hollywood stars than the image that they intentionally try to project. Granted, a lot of these outlets do their best to make celebs look as bad as they possibly can just to make a buck, but theirs no denying the fact that candid photos show you a very different side of stars.
Celebs tend to be very image conscious – so much so that it's difficult to determine whether the version we see of them in the media accurately represents who they are. Much of what they project to the outside world seems to be just for show, and their record labels, film studios, agents, and managers do their best to carefully craft their pop-culture personas to maximize their profits.
Every now and then, however, a photograph manages to capture a perfect candid moment that shows us a very different side of a star's character.
