Jackie Lane was born as Jocelyn Bolton on May 16, 1937, in Vienna, Austria. Her father was an Englishman who worked in the oil industry and her mother was a Russian who was a noted pianist. Her older sister Mara would eventually become a model and Jackie would soon follow suit.
Jackie Lane began taking dance classes during her teens and soon became interested in being in the limelight and performing in front of others. When she turned 18, she moved to the United Kingdom and began pursuing her modeling career. It was during this time that she stopped calling herself Jocelyn and used the name Jackie as her pseudonym.
She’s remembered for her roles in films such as Tickle Me, in which she starred alongside Elvis Presley, and Helles Belles. She also won praise for her roles in European films such as Goodbye Again and Two and Two Make Six.
And yet, at the height of her fame – she stepped out of the limelight. She eventually married into the aristocracy and then largely stepped out of the public eye. Since the 1970s, we haven’t seen her in a film or a television series.
