Sharon Tate was born on January 24, 1943. She grew up in a military family and lived in six different cities by the time she was 16.
Tate got into modeling and competed in beauty pageants as a teenager. After graduating from high school, she and several of her friends obtained extra roles in films shot in Italy where she was living. After moving to the United States, she landed several small roles on television before transitioning to film. Her acting career then skyrocketed, and she was regularly featured in magazines as a model and cover girl.
After delivering several critically acclaimed performances in comedies and dramas, Tate was touted as one of Hollywood's most promising rising stars. Sadly, her life would come to an abrupt end in 1969 when she was just 26 years old. In a blink of an eye, one of the most talked-about Hollywood newcomers left this world in tragedy.
Flash forward more than half a century later to today and Tate is still continuing to make headlines. Recently, never-before-seen photos of the late blonde bombshell have been discovered in a garage in California.
These recently uncovered photos show 21-year-old Sharon Tate before she had made it big in Hollywood. They were taken by her roommate's husband, Donald Hagen. In the candid photos, Tate is seen looking happy and healthy while lounging in the sun on a beach towel in a bikini.
