A four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog named Rue narrates its first day in its new home after getting adopted by its owner Melanie. Rue's first day home is filled with all kinds of fun activities like a game of tug, a spoonful of peanut butter, endless cuddles, a long walk and lots of kisses. Rue looks so happy to be finally home despite having a hard life prior to getting adopted.
Rue was neglected, severely underweight (37 pounds), and had no human contact for over a year before getting rescued. Because of the neglect, Rue has "fear and anxiety around any strangers, whether animal or human, and men especially.' Rue's "also got what's called 'happy tail', where her tail is raw and bleeding from shaking it and hitting it against things."
Despite Rue's hardships, when Melanie picked her up, Rue fell asleep in Melanie's lap halfway through the car ride and is so loving and affectionate to Melanie and her partner.
