After all, there are big shoes to fill when you’re the child of the late actor Michael Landon. Michael Landon was arguably one of the most famous American TV actors of all time. He began his career in the mid-1950s and by the end of the decade, he had become a household name as Little Joe Cartwright in the show Bonanza.
Bonanza made Michael Landon a huge star and he continued to be a formidable presence on American television until his death in 1991. His other major role was as Charles Ingalls in the show Little House on the Prairie. He also had occasional film work and even tried his hand behind the camera. He wrote, directed, and acted in the film Sam’s Son which was partially based on his life.
With so much talent, you’d expect Michael Landon to pass on his gifts to his children. Several of his children have gone on to pursue a career in show business. His daughter Jennifer has, like her father, made strides in TV.
She began her career appearing in some of the most popular soap operas of all time. She’s also appeared in acclaimed TV movies and independent feature films. Lately, she’s received praise for her role in the Western series Yellowstone and in the show FBI: Most Wanted.
We hope to see her in even more popular TV shows and feature films in the coming years. She credits her father for helping her fall in love with acting. She often remembers her time with him and is eager to make an impact just as he did.
