When he graduated, he tried business until the Nelson family got him on the show Ozzie’s Girls. That ignited his love of acting. He thrived on the stage and screen, and one day he got cast as Leroy Gibbs on JAG and its more successful spinoff NCIS. That was his breakout role and the one he’ll always be remembered for.
He kept following the light of fame until he met the love of his life, Pam Dawber. The actress and Sexiest Man Alive were set up by a mutual friend, and sparks flew. They were married and had two sons soon after. They decided their family was worth sacrificing for. She took time off to raise her children, and he only took TV roles to stay close to them. They’ve been married for 35 years. They’re a private couple, and that’s one of the reasons they’ve stayed together so long.
