A lucky leopard escaped from a charging tiger by climbing higher up a nearby tree.
Wildlife conservationist Roop Singh was on a tour of Ranthambore National Park, India, on February 13 when his guide pointed out a tigress known as Noor - stalking in the forest.
Amazing footage captured the moment the 15-year-old predator suddenly sprinted across the undergrowth after a leopard which had entered her territory.
Fortunately for the leopard, it managed to scamper up a nearby tree and make it into the canopy as the larger cats weight stopped it from climbing after it.
Roop said: I have been working in conservation in Ranthambore for five years but have never seen anything like this before.
Ive known male tigers actively hunt and eat leopards, but hadnt seen a tigress attack before.
She clearly thought the leopard had entered her territory and wasnt happy about this.
