Before becoming a Hollywood star, Leigh Taylor-Young was a young girl raised up in rural Michigan by her diplomat father. Leigh initially aimed to study economics in college, but quickly fell in love with the theater. She moved to New York City and began acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and a role in the soap opera Peyton Place followed.
Peyton Place was the vehicle that first brought Leigh Taylor-Young to prominence. She also married the show’s male star in 1967. That star was Ryan O’Neal, and the two would remain together until 1974. Leigh and Ryan had one son during their marriage, and that son is Patrick O’Neal. Leigh has married three more times since divorcing Ryan and is currently on husband number four.
Leigh’s fourth husband isn’t an actor, but a religious figure! Leigh’s fourth husband is John Morton, and she now works with him within his spiritual practice of John Morton Ministries.
