The young, determined boy's (featured in this video) first-ever trail running experience wasn't really smooth, just like the surface he ran on, but it sure as heck was memorable for him.
Shared by Jennifer Bell, this engaging clip shows her son slipping and falling on the muddy ground right before crossing the finish line. But he refuses to stay down and immediately gets back up to finish the race.
"He had to run a slippery, rooty race in a pair of Vans," Jennifer shared with Wooglobe. "There was thunder, lightning, and it was pouring rain.
