Without a doubt, one of the best TV series of the 1990s was Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Another great show that ran in the next decade was Andromeda. The common link between these two great shows was the great actor who starred in them. That actor was Kevin Sorbo.

Kevin Sorbo grew up in Minnesota and going to church was a huge part of his upbringing and gave him a solid foundation for life. While he majored in advertising and marketing at university, he worked as a model to help pay for his tuition. He became so successful that he transitioned to acting in TV commercials and began traveling the world to act in commercials.
But his good looks and acting ability couldn’t just be limited to commercials. He was destined for something more. He began working occasionally in television while still a commercial actor but his career really took off when he made guest appearances in popular TV shows. His big break came when he was cast as Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Series.
This was the show that made Kevin Sorbo a star and the offers poured in after that. His other big hit was when he played Captain Dylan Hunt in the show Andromeda which premiered in the year 2000.
In hindsight, it seemed that nothing could go wrong with his career. There was hit after hit and he was one of the most recognizable and loved actors – especially on television. But there was something that caused a stigma around Kevin Sorbo. There was something about him that many of the key Hollywood players didn’t like. And that’s why they had to kick him out.
