Irish was born in Nebraska and moved out to California with some of her siblings at the age of 17. It was in California that the future star was spotted by a photographer on the beach. This photographer gave Irish the opportunity to become Miss Navy Day, which led to her posing at an event with Santa Monica’s mayor. This early modeling gig then led to Irish becoming a notable pin-up model.
