On May 31, due to heavy rainfall, a riverside house in Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province, collapsed after being battered by floodwaters. Fortunately, authorities had detected the danger in advance and evacuated residents, so no casualties were reported.
In addition, the flooding caused temporary communication outages in parts of Dulongjiang Township in Nujiang. Currently, only mobile satellite stations are available for making phone calls.
Yunnan Province has issued a meteorological warning for geological disaster risks, alerting that there is a high risk of landslides and mudslides in certain areas of Nujiang Prefecture.
