Were you a fan of actor Dudley Moore? Did you know that he had a personal life and a series of marriages that were more tumultuous than any of his movies? Moore was a short but powerful actor and comedian who charmed audiences in the 1980s and early ‘90s. He was a box office star, tabloid favorite, and suave public figure. But his personal life, particularly his marriages was far less successful. And no situation was worse for Moore than his fourth marriage to a woman named Nicole Rothschild.

Despite a 30-year age gap, the two met and got married in 1994. They were ultimately still married when Moore died in 2002, but that was large because after Dudley was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease, Nicole decided not to go through with a divorce. And both in her divorce papers, and in a tell-all book that she wrote years later, Nicole claimed Dudley was abusive, violent, and addicted to drugs. Yet, as we discover in this video, there was seemingly a lot more to the story than this tell-all memoir led on. Nicole ultimately scrapped the release of the book, perhaps because so many of Dudley’s friends and caretakers threatened to tell the truth about Nicole alleged abuse of Dudley.
