A heartwarming story has emerged from Coles Corner, Washington after a family's beloved dog went missing, only to return home with a surprise litter of puppies.
The family's Siberian husky had disappeared for a while leaving the family worried about her safety.
"Our family dog ran away to have her litter of puppies, but when she came home for food and water we quickly realized that she was with us all along," said the filmer.
It soon became clear that their dog had given birth to a litter of puppies in a secret underground den. The family was overjoyed, but they quickly realized that the puppies were exposed to the cold and needed to be brought inside.
However, the puppies were hidden in a spot that was too small for the adults to access. That is, until the middle child, a brave and adventurous youngster, took it upon themselves to crawl under the floor and retrieve the puppies, seen here on Thursday (March 2).
With the help of a flashlight and some determination, the child dug under the floor and discovered the hidden den. The child carefully scooped up the puppies and brought them into the warmth of the house.
"Someone small, yet brave. The middle child becomes the hero of the story," said the filmer.
