Leading up to his 2020 death, Charlie Daniels had been suffering from a number of heart-related health issues. In addition to general blood-pressure problems that the singer had been dealing with for a while, he had suffered a stroke in 2010. In 2018, he underwent surgery to try and align the rhythm of his heart. According to son Charlie Jr., his father emerged from the surgery seeming like he was feeling better than he had in a while. This only made it all the more tragic when Charlie Daniels ended up passing away a few years later.
Charlie ended up passing away as a result of a stroke, which was the second stroke that he had experienced in his lifetime. The country musician had suffered a stroke in 2010 and had since been put on blood thinners. Charlie Jr. says these blood thinners killed him!
