They include prolific choreographer Bob Fossi and composer George Gerswhin. Trying to hide epilepsy can keep the public unaware. Abbot and Costello worked Bud Abbot’s seizures into their acts to ensure no one knew. The potential causes for the condition are too long to list. Michael Wilding had one suddenly, fell down the stairs, and suffered a fatal head injury. Others have had epilepsy since childhood or after suffering a stroke or getting in an accident.
