While fighting stage 2 breast cancer at 35 I took my 4 year son to the park and he made our family out of sand. Daddy is the large stick, hes the small stick and mommys stick is laying down because youre sick. He put a sand blanket on me and said now me and daddy are trying to figure out what to do which my husband said has never been more accurate! Play therapists everywhere are chiming in to say hes processing the emotions of his moms cancer & treatment.
