We were on our way to a party with the whole family and I was trying to get the attention of my wife to tell her that the porch was slick. Apparently I had told her this a few times before we left and she was irritated that I continued to warn her multiple times. I once more insistently told her that the porch was slick and she replied by exclaiming she was fine. She made it safely across the porch but upon my attempt to walk across the icy surface, I failed to follow my own warning and fell when my son bolted out the door, causing me to slip and drop the chocolate cheesecake. This amused my wife that I had done the very thing I had warned her about so she laughed at me and jokingly repeated my stern warning back to me. As she came closer I reached up and pulled her lovingly to the ground with me in my arms. We all three shared a laugh and this prompted my son to pick up a piece of the cake and shove it into my mouth. We all had a laugh at the unfortunate incident and it turned out to be a memory we could cherish forever.
