Anne was signed with 20th Century Fox, the studio wasn’t afraid to lend her out to other production companies. Anne made her big-screen debut with her fourth-billed part in 1940’s 20 Mule Team. Finally, Anne Baxter was as critically acclaimed as she was commercially successful.
