John Goodman never wanted to be an actor growing up, but instead wanted to be a football player. Sadly, a college football injury prevented him from finding a career playing the sport. Instead, John was forced to focus all his energy on performing in his college’s drama department. John ended up liking drama just as much as he had liked football, and the rest is history! John’s first professional acting gig came in 1975, though it was only a non-speaking role in a Burger King commercial. Nearly a decade later, John would receive a much meatier role via the made-for-television feature The Face of Rage. Not long after that, John was cast in the 1988 series Roseanne, as the namesake comedian’s husband.

Roseanne proved a major success, and John Goodman was able to use the popularity that he garnered from his work on the series into a full-blown movie-star career. One of John’s first big film roles came in 1994 when he was tasked with playing the character of Fred Flintstones in the live-action adaptation of The Flintstones. John still works both in film and on television to this day, though fans that haven’t seen the actor in a few decades likely won’t recognize him.

John Goodman has recently undergone a staggering physical transformation, and fans won’t believe their eyes. Join Facts Verse as we explore how after John Goodman’s transformation, he is a completely different man.
