Isabel is riding a scooter across the UCLA (University of California, Los Angele) campus in Los Angeles, California when she almost runs over an injured parrotlet on the ground. She takes the bird home and names it Blueberry and buys supplies for it at the pet store until she can figure out what to do with it.
