This rooster named Rowdy lived up to his name as he chased a girl who attempted to take eggs from his roost.
Janice Barron, who lives in Andalusia, Alabama, was filming as her granddaughter Madeline edged closer to the chickens' eggs.
Rowdy spotted this and his defence mode activated as he charged at the girl.
Madeline then sprinted off into the distance with Rowdy in hot pursuit.
Janice told Newsflare: "My grand baby Madeline was going to feed the chickens but our rooster Rowdy was looking at her funny so she picked up a pine cone.
"She continued on as she kept walking he was staring at her so she started backing up tripped and fell thats when it was on with Rowdy.
"she jumped up and started running he watched her for a few seconds then the race was on he chased her down to the creek.
"I was filming and couldnt stop laughing and yelling 'run hes behind you!'
"This was Rowdys first time doing anything like this."
