Tia is in a parking lot in Galena, Illinois when a stranger approaches her and confronts her about her wheelchair. The man loudly asks, "Why are you in a wheelchair when I saw you get out of your car and walk? This person walked out of their vehicle and assembled that wheelchair!" Tia calmly responds with, "I have nerve damage in one leg sir, I can walk." The man realizes his mistake and says "Fair enough." while walking away.
Tia has 4 chronic pain conditions due to nerve damage in her left leg. She hopes to educate and spread awareness about different disabilities through her TikTok where she posts videos about her life and her hobby of adaptive skateboarding.
