Three military macaws that live at the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island managed to escape on May 17.

Julia ends up finding one of the missing macaws, named Rainier, perched on a power line in her neighbourhood of Cranston and promptly notifies the zoo.

A few zoo employees arrive and attempt to call Rainier down, but the macaw stays on the power line until they bring out a large branch on a step ladder for the bird to land on.

A zoo employee gives Rainier a treat after it flew down onto the branch before safely securing it in a cage to transport back to the zoo.

According to the zoo employee, the three macaws are familiar with the area around Roger Williams Park, but guesses they must have ventured a little too far and got lost.

Fortunately, Julia is later informed that the zoo was able to locate the other two missing macaws.
