Since The Bob Newhart Show came to an end in 1978, Bob has continued to work sporadically both on television and in films. Bob has attempted to recreate the success of 1972’s The Bob Newhart Show numerous times, but none of the successor sitcoms have been nearly as successful. Still, Bob retains iconic status to this day and is happy so long as he is able to answer fan mail and write new comedic material.
Now that Bob is in his 90s, he has only slowed down just a little bit when it comes to his work. When he isn’t practicing his comedy, the beloved icon likes to take it easy with his wife, kids, and grandchildren.
