Actor Scott Baio is known for his work on Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi. Somehow, rumors had spread in the late 1990s that he had been killed in a car crash. This was false and absurd as he hadn’t even been in a car accident at all!
Abe Vigoda was the subject of numerous death rumors. He was best known for his role as Tessio in The Godfather and Detective Phil Fish in Barney Miller and Fish. His frequent death rumors were so absurd that it often became a subject of jokes. He died in 2016 at the age of 94.
Peter Boyle, known for his roles in films such as Taxi Driver and TV shows such as Everybody Loves Raymond, was declared dead in 1990 following a stroke. But he managed to recover from this stroke and continued to act for another 16 years!
The original 007 Sean Connery even had rumors surrounding his death. In a 1993 episode on The Late Show with David Letterman, he described how there was a mix-up where the former Texas Governor John Connally died, and some outlets mixed the governor with Sean Connery! Sean Connery lived much longer and died in October 2020.
